Sticker Necklace

Hello Dearies! Todays projects is another one of my daughters favorites. I make a lot of my own jewelry and I sometimes make jewelry out of some not so common things. Because of this my daughter looks at everything as a jewelry project and her new favorite is stickers. For the necklace shown, I used: *Crafting/scrapbooking paper *stickers *beads (some were new, some were from an old necklace I wanted to trash) *jewelry string *beading needle *Pendant Charm *Scissors *2 scrap pieces of Suede/fake leather ribbon/string stuff … Haha! I’m sorry I have no idea what it’s called but I love using it :) Each one should be about 7 inches long or longer.

Please excuse the horrible state of my crafting table. I’ve thought about refinishing it but then I know I’d just trash it again. Haha!

First select your paper and your stickers. The pendant I have is two sided so we chose so my daughter chose two stickers. Our stickers are Guardians of the Galaxy. Berti of course chose Gamora for her necklace.
20150531_09584420150531_095901 After placing the stickers where you want on your craft paper, take the glass/plastic covering from your pendant and use it to trace around your stickers so you have the right shaped photo to put into your pendant. Cut out the tracings and put your pictures and glass back into the pendant. Some pendants need glue to be put together. This one clipped together so no glue was needed.

I like to line them up on my craft table because I have this awesome little crease in the table that holds beads perfectly. I find it much easier to lay out my beads ahead of time. This way I know exactly how it’s going to look. For this necklace I did a pattern of 5 small blue beads, 1 large metal bead and repeated it until I had a long enough line of beads to go about halfway around my neck.

String a needle with some tread and starting beading. Pull enough thread through so that you’ll be able to go all that way back through all the beads a second time. When you get to the end of the beads push your needle through the tip of the first suede ribbon and pull the thread all the way through.

Then turn your needle around and thread though all the beads again. When you get to the other side, push needle through second suede ribbon. Tie knot and hide extra string by sewing back into beads. String on pendant and you are done. This necklace ties in the back.
