Hello Dearies! I have never heard of Chappie before so I have no idea if this is based off of anything or if it is an original film.
From what I gathered from the trailer, it’s a story about the first AI Robot. He’s like a child that needs to learn and grow. It looks pretty fantastic. What do you think?
Hello Dearies! The Jurassic park trilogy is my absolute favorite. I know not everyone enjoyed all of them but I really did. I love dinosaurs and I think almost anything with dinosaurs is awesome. Very rarely have I seen anything with dinosaurs that I didn't enjoy.
I don’t think it’s possible to more excited. I squealed loudly throughout the house when I first saw. My kids were only sort of interested and My husband rolled his eyes. The Jurassic World trailer is amazing. They have a new park. They have a new dinosaur. They have a raptor motorcycle gang :) I WANT IT TO BE OUT TODAY!
Hello Dearies! Oh how I love my Christmas movies. There is almost nothing better than gathering up the kids, cuddling on the couch with some popcorn and Hot cocoa, and watching movies. It’s one of my favorite winter activities.
1. Home Alone 1 and 2: You have to watch them together. You just do. To be honest I actually like the 2nd one the best. These two movies were the best when I was little and I am so glad my kids like them now.
2. The Muppets Christmas Carol: Or really ANY Christmas Carol movie will do. I’ve never seen one I didn’t like. II ‘m not even sure if I have a favorite. I just know the Muppets were the first one I thought of when I was making this list. Plus it’s another one I can watch with my kids.
3. The Grinch: I am posting the Jim Carrey version (which I love) but the cartoon version is probably my favorite. It’s also more kid friendly. My son is terrified of Jim’s makeup in this movie. He refuses to watch it with me.
4. Miracle on 34th Street: Now this is NOT a movie where any version will do. The original is the best and the only one I enjoy. It’s been re-mastered in color but I grew up on the black and white version and that is the one I love most.
5. White Christmas: 3 words… A-Maz_Ing! I love everything about this movie. I think I could recite every line if I had to. It’s just so good! The music is the best and nothing puts me more in the Christmas spirit than this movie.
This was actually really hard to narrow down to 5. I have so many more that I just adore. What are your favorites?
Hello Dearies! I have Always loved Peter Pan. It’s been one of my favorite stories for years. I actually didn’t know ahead of time that they were even making this movie. A fellow blogger posted about it and after doing my little happy dance, I looked it up!
First thoughts:
The note from mommy, the pan, from the moment the new lost boys were taken from their orphanage, I was hooked :) I love movies that include “before you knew them” stories. Finding out were each character came from and why they are the way they are is huge for me.
The makeup on Hugh Jackman is insane. I didn’t recognize him at first.
Hook is a smartass and I love it.
They included mermaids! Yay!!!!
So, there is some controversy. A lot of people online are upset that Tiger Lily is white… like she’s whiter than me and I’m the whitest woman in America.
I live in an area populated with a lot of Native Americans so I asked a friend what she thought. Her reply:
“Our biggest problem is that Tiger Lily is one of the only strong Native American characters that is also a household name and we feel as though she has been stolen from us”
“But you hated all the other Tiger Lilys”
“Yes. they were nothing more than a racial stereotype”
“Ok so you don’t like the Native American one or the white one. What kind of Tiger Lily will make you happy?”
“Not a white one”
“Haha, fair enough. So you don’t wanna see Pan”
“Hell yes I wanna see Pan. Hugh is my man!”
So I am very Very excited for this film and you can bet I’ll be one of the first ones to see it.
Hello Dearies! My husband was just asking me to make this list for him. I really had to think about it and then do some searching online to see what I was even into anymore. With the exception of clothes (and that’s only when I REALLY need them) I never buy stuff for me. And the last few Christmases I’ve had with my hubby, he’s given me pajama pants, because they’re comfy and I love them. It’s kind of hard to think of yourself when you have kids. All my money goes to them… like seriously, ALL of it. It’s worth it, I love them of course :) Anyways I was able to find some fun things that would make me very happy if I found them under the tree so here goes:
1. As you Wish. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Princess Bride. It’s one of my all time favorite movies so when I saw that the Cary wrote a book about it, I got excited. I NEED this book, I do!
2. Brain Soap! I was a zombie for Halloween this year and I really really wanted to decorate the house with brains :) My hubby was not into buying the zombie soaps but I still think this stuff is awesome and I’d love to see it under my tree.
3. Brain Slug! Ok so for those of you who don’t know what this is (shame on you!) this a brain slug from my favorite show Futurama! Isn’t it adorable? I must have it :)
4. Octopus Mug: I LOVE me some coffee and and I love crazy fun mugs even more. I can’t decided which of the following mugs is my favorite but I’d be happy to find any of them wrapped up under my tree.
5. Dinosaur Ring: I am like crazy obsessed with dinosaurs. They just make me so so happy. This ring and a couple other versions are just so rad and I’d know I’d wear them everyday :)
What do you think of my list? What are you hoping to find under your tree?
Hello Dearies! Ok, first let me start by saying: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEW STAR WARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, now that that is out of my system (probably not, I’m sure I’ll do it again)
This trailer has taken everyone by storm. Seriously, It has already inspired some tattoos. I’m not kidding. That adorable R2D2 looking thing on top of the soccer ball has already been tattooed on 2 people I know of and there are another handful of people that got the new lightsaber.
I still bouncing off the walls about this and I really can’t wait. I’m trying to talk my husband into dressing up with me to go to the premier! I cannot wait until next year!
I really don’t know if there is anything new I can add to this but for those you upset about the lightsaber, Watch Stephen Colbert’s response here:
And for those of you upset about a storm trooper that isn’t one of the original clones made from Jengo, I would like to remind you that we don’t know if he’s a storm trooper. Luke and Han put on the suits before. It could be a similar case here. For another opinion on the matter watch Chris Hardwick’s response here:
Hello Dearies! I find Stephen Hawking to be fascinating and inspirational and I cannot wait to see a movie based on his life. It didn’t come to any of the theaters near us. I’m hoping that it’ll come out to the dollar theater but I doubt I will. I will have to buy this one fore sure. A friend of mine told me that there is a BBC movie about him starring Benedict Cumberbatch. I will need to find that one as well.
Hello Dearies! So, in all honesty, there is nothing, not a damn thing that would ever/could ever tempt me into going out on black Friday. I don’t enjoy shopping to begin with and adding the crowds would kill me. I’d be rolled up in a ball crying my eyes out within the first three minutes. I just couldn’t handle all of the people. That being said, if they ever invent some miracle pill that makes me brave enough to enter the crowds, these are the items I would elbow my way to the front of the line for. All items I would use to enhance my photography business.
Hello Dearies! So one of the fun things about having a baby (that NO ONE tells you about) is that after the baby is out and your hormones start to return to normal, your hair falls out. Like a lot! I knew this going in because I had two other kids but this time it is a whole bunch worse. Like there is red hair everywhere in my house and if I wanted to make a wig, I probably could. I am seriously shocked that I have anymore hair on my head at all. It comes out by the handful. I don’t even have to pull it. I gently put my fingers through my hair and BAM! handful of hair. And it’s not one handful a day. It’s several! It has been causing me extra stress so I decided that if I was going to have my hair fall out, I could at least cut it so it’d be less noticeable. I haven’t had short hair since my oldest son was born 5 years ago so I didn’t want to go too short but I knew I needed a change. I’m really really happy with how it looks. It’s still longish but it’s a big enough change so I don’t notice my hair falling out all the time and everyone else has been commenting on how much they like it. That’s always a plus!
Before: I was covering my eye because I had a bad reaction to some of the Halloween makeup I wore this year and 3 weeks later, it still kind of looks like someone punched me in the face.
After: After getting it cut and re-dyed. I’m so happy with it! My eye also looks a lot better. There is still a lot of dryness when you are up close but it no longer looks overly red and beat up.
Hello Dearies! I should have taken my glasses off to show how cool this looked. I did some fun shimmery wintery blues :) This was back when we still had snow. It's all melted now :(
